Biomechanics Assessment & Postural Analysis

Move better. Understand your body. Create lasting change.

At Aim2Move Physiotherapy, we believe lasting results come from understanding how your body moves as a whole — not simply treating the area that hurts. As a Certified Biomechanics Specialist with advanced training through Connor Harris, our approach combines movement assessment, postural analysis, and individualized treatment to identify patterns that may be contributing to pain, limitation, or recurring symptoms.

Posture is more than standing up straight. The body constantly adapts to daily habits, previous injuries, athletic demands, work positions, stress, and movement patterns. These adaptations are not necessarily “bad,” but over time they may influence how forces move through the body and affect comfort, mobility, and performance.

Comprehensive Postural & Movement Analysis
Your assessment will include a detailed evaluation of how your body organizes and moves during everyday activities and exercise, including:

  • Standing and resting posture

  • Rib cage and breathing mechanics

  • Pelvic and trunk position

  • Weight shift and balance strategies

  • Squat, reach, rotation and functional movement patterns

  • Joint mobility and movement efficiency

  • Muscle recruitment and coordination patterns

  • Compensation strategies developed from previous injury or stress

The goal is not to chase “perfect posture.” Instead, we look for opportunities to improve movement options, reduce unnecessary strain, and help your body move more efficiently.

Individualized Treatment Approach
Based on your evaluation, treatment may include:

  • Manual therapy

  • Biomechanical corrective exercises

  • Movement retraining

  • Neuromuscular re-education

  • Breathing integration strategies

  • Dry needling when appropriate

  • Mobility and stability programming

  • Functional strengthening and performance training

This approach is especially helpful for individuals who:

  • Continue to experience pain despite previous treatment

  • Feel like they’ve “tried everything”

  • Have recurring injuries or chronic symptoms

  • Want a deeper understanding of why symptoms continue

  • Want to improve performance, recovery, and long-term results — not temporary fixes.
