Manual Therapy

Person receiving manual therapy to arm in Flower Mound, TX.

Hands-on care. Individualized treatment. Movement that lasts.

At Aim2Move Physiotherapy, manual therapy is a hands-on treatment approach used to help reduce pain, improve mobility, restore movement, and support recovery. Every treatment is individualized and based on a thorough assessment — not a standard protocol. An Initial evaluation is required.

Manual therapy includes skilled, evidence-based techniques performed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy to address restrictions in joints, muscles, fascia, and surrounding soft tissues that may be contributing to pain or limiting movement.

Our approach goes beyond simply treating symptoms. We evaluate how your entire body moves and identify the factors that may be affecting function, performance, and recovery.

How Manual Therapy Works
Manual therapy uses specific hands-on techniques to create changes in mobility, comfort, movement quality, and nervous system response. Treatment may help through several mechanisms including:

Joint Mobility Support — Gentle, targeted techniques can help improve movement between joints and reduce stiffness.
‍ ‍Soft Tissue Mobility — Hands-on treatment can address muscle tension and soft tissue restrictions that limit movement.
‍ ‍Pain Modulation — Manual therapy can influence the nervous system and may help decrease pain sensitivity.
‍ ‍Movement Optimization — Improving mobility and reducing protective tension can support more efficient movement patterns.
‍ ‍Functional Recovery — Restoring mobility may improve comfort during everyday activities, exercise, and performance.
